TOUCHING THE BRUISE: A GRIEF RETREAT
Sunday, February 15th, 1:00–6:00 PM, 2026
WHERE
Nectar Yoga Dome, Bowen Island, BC
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Grief lives in the body. It arrives not only through loss, but through love, change, and the unmet hopes we quietly carry. Touching the Bruise is a one-day grief retreat co-facilitated by Andrea Clark, co-founder of Nectar Retreat and Mist Thermal, and Chloe Dierkes, a Threshold Doula and ritual guide who supports life’s sacred beginnings and endings.
This experience invites you to tend to your grief through gentle somatic practices, sacred ritual, and shared reflection—held in the safety of community and ceremony.
Through guided movement, journaling, meditation, grief rituals, and time in nature, we’ll honour all that has been lost and all that continues to live inside us. You’ll be invited to connect with the land, create personal offerings for the altar, and participate in practices like guided meditation, rock and water release ritual, and sound bath for integration.
This day is not about fixing grief; it’s about making space to feel it, witnessing it, and finding a way to walk with it more gently. WHO IT’S FOR
